Tronador Gourmet excursion in detail

Mount Tronador (thunder) is one of the main attractions in the area, not only because it is the highest peak, but also for its glaciers, its ecosystem and mainly because of the thundering sounds it generates.
The guide-interpreter who will accompany the group meets the passengers at the hotel. Meeting time is 9:00 am . The way to the base of Cerro Tronador is through paved road and gravel, and it takes about two hours and a half to get to Pampa Linda . Walking for one hour and fifteen minutes we will cross rivers and forests, until reaching a fork in the trail. We take the path leading to the marvelous Castaño Overo Valley . A 45 minute walk takes us to a unique place, a glacier hanging from above. Rugged walls are the vestiges of the passing of ice, telling us their story. These are just some of the attractions that can be found at this beautiful place. In this setting we will enjoy a 3-course gourmet lunch.
The after lunch walk will be on terrain that poses no technical difficulties, nor steep slopes. It takes about 2 hours to get there and 2 hours to get back. The views at different points of the trail, the Andean condors, the glaciers and their continuous roaring and the majestic colors of the vegetation set up the ideal framework for relaxing and enjoying every step of the way.
