This itinerary offers two classic Patagonian destinations in one week. You will visit the glaciers in El Calafate and the city at the "end of the world", Ushuaia. The accommodations will be chosen according to your budget. We can arrange lodging ranging from a hostel up to 5 star luxury hotel or a B&B. If you have more time, you can always add more nights in any of the places. However, if you only have one week this trip will provide you with an opportunity to experience the highlights of this amazing region.

Itinerary

Day 1
Upon arrival in El Calafate, you will be taken to your selected hotel. We highly recommend visiting the birds reserve Nimez Lagoon for a sunset.  

Day 2
After an early breakfast, you will leave on a full day excursion to Perito Moreno Glacier . Inside Los Glaciares National Park, you will take the route surrounding Lago Argentino where 80km from El Calafate, lies Perito Moreno Glacier with its imposing 60-meter high ice walls. Follow the paths that lead you to the face of the glacier where you can get an impressive view of it. If you are lucky you may witness ice fragments breaking off with a thunderous sound and falling into the lake. Return to the hotel in the evening. Local restaurants offer great quality food and friendly service. We recommend trying the famous "Cordero al Asador".

Day 3
Breakfast. Day at leisure for taking any of the optional excursions. We recommend the Todo Glaciares excursion: full day lake navigation visiting Upsala, Spegazzini and Onelli glaciers .

Day 4
Breakfast. At appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport for taking your flight to Ushuaia.

Upon arrival in Ushuaia, you will be taken to your selected hotel. You will have the late afternoon and evening at leisure to explore the city.

Day 5
Breakfast. Full Day excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park , with light hiking and canoeing included.  

Day 6
Half Day tour in the morning: BEAGLE CHANNEL navigation by boat.

At appropriate time will be taken to the airport for your connecting flight.
