DESCRIPTION

There’s nothing like an argentinian barbecue, or asado, as we call it. A barbecue is not only a meal, it’s a ritual, it’s part of our culture. When we were kids our fathers used to make the barbecue on a Sunday
afternoon. He would get up early, had a few sips of mate tea and with a lot of patience he would make a fire. In this program at Finca Adalgisa you will enjoy its unique way of preparing while sipping amazing local Argentine wines.

  • Day 1: Mendoza Arrival
  • Day 2: Mendoza – Full day wine tour 3 wineries with lunch
  • Day 3: Mendoza - Half Day Rafting +Half day Bike & Wine
  • Day 4: Depart Mendoza
Day 1: Mendoza Arrival
Upon arrival in Mendoza you will be received and transferred to the unique Finca Adalgisa B&B.
Enjoy the resto of the day at leisure while having a glass of Adalgisa's wine in its own garden.
Night in Mendoza.
Day 2: Mendoza – Full day wine tour 3 wineries with lunch
After breakfast, you will start the wine tour that includes visiting three iconic bodegas. As winemaking reflects much of Argentina´s history you will be able to learn about the origins of local wine making, the impact of the first immigrants that settled in the area, the development of the wine industry, and the innovation implemented by the latest generations of Mendoza´s winemakers. During the tour you will learn about three different ways of evaluating high-quality wines. Accompanied by a specialized guide you will be able to explore each of the three bodegas in detail. Wine tasting is included in every winery. After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel. Night in Mendoza.
Day 3: Mendoza - Half Day Rafting +Half day Bike & Wine
Breakfast at the hotel.
Starting our tour early in the morning pick up at the hotel. There are many ways to connect with the snowmelt waters of the Andes. We offer rafting trips all year round for the adventurer looking for class III + water. All of our runs are upstream of the Potrerillos Dam and Reservoir.
The continual rapids provide constant action throughout the decent. High summer flows, chalk-full of sediment, bring huge holes and haystacks. Low winter flows run clear with a natural slalom course of exposed rocks.
The trips are run by our river guides with international experience and swift water rescue certificates. Safety kayakers join the group for additional support. All paddlers will be equipped with life jackets (pfd), wetsuits, splash jackets, river booties and helmet. Our river equipment is impeccably maintained and renewed often. We use self-bailing Hyside Hypalon 14' boats.
Rafting duration 1.30 hours.
Return to Mendoza.

In the early afternoon get ready of a bike & Wine experience.

We will be starting our tour early as we leave Mendoza in the direction of the Chacras, the so-called cradle of Malbec. Cycling to two important bodegas, bilingual guides will lead us through the differing histories as well as the production and cultivation processes of each bodega before tasting some of Mendoza´s famous wines. Having finished both visits we will start our return to the city of Mendoza.

Night in Mendoza.

I cannot express how pleased I am with Eureka Travel. As I was developing the plans for the trip, they were helpful with suggestions and accommodated all my requests. The transportation to and from airport, hotel, tours was excellent. The guides were very, very good. The lunch and dinner provided w/tour were excellent. Your help made our trip a wonderful experience. Also, when I was unable to call the local contacts (b/c my inability to get country codes, etc figured out) I could always email/call directly to your U.S. office for assistance. you helped solve any problems right away. Will definitely use Eureka Travel again when we return to Peru.

"The trip was excellent and Eureka Travel did an excellent job matching the itinerary and activities to our interests.

The most enjoyable part of the trip were the two days in the Amazon. It is a remarkable experience, unlike any other.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?
More time in the Amazon, at a remoter lodge with more 'authentic' (less touristy) activities. Less time in Rio and Manaus (one day is more than enough in Manaus), more structured and less free days.Include a candomble ceremony."

There is a difference when travel arrangements are made by a travel agent who has been there and done that. Ana was born and raised in Argentina and knows South America very well. It is her experience that made our trip fantastic. She knows the hotels, the sites, and restaurants so that everything planed for us was better. Thank you for taking such good care of our travel needs.

Eureka Travel was a lifesaver!
From the moment I spoke to Analia on the phone, I knew that Eureka Travel would be a vital part of the planning process for our trip 14-day to Argentina. Analia and Cecilia made suggestions to ensure that we had an enjoyable and memorable vacation. They found great airfare rates and very comfortable accommodations, all within our budget. They also listened to what we wanted and never pushed anything that we did not want to do, creating a customized itinerary that included great activities as well as time to relax. Analia is originally from Argentina and has travelled throughout South America, visiting many of the places her clients want to visit. Cecilia has lived her life in Argentina and also loves to travel. Their personal experience complements their professional services and expertise. We had several transportation problems due to flight cancellations and delays beyond our control. Analia and Cecilia went ABOVE AND BEYOND our expectations and helped us through every road block we encountered. They rearranged our itinerary, found alternative modes of transportation and hotel accommodations, all within a short time after a phone call or email to them. They even provided us with a list of very helpful phrases when we unexpectedly found ourselves needing to take a taxi to the bus station and purchase tickets in a city where English is rarely spoken! I truly am thankful that Analia and Cecilia were so concerned for our well-being...just like your own sisters would be. Despite our travel issues, my husband and I had a WONDERFUL vacation. Every destination was worth the extra efforts to get there. Our vacation could have been a complete loss had it not been for Eureka Travel\'s individualized attention and support. They saved us a huge amount of time, absorbed a lot the stress and saved us a considerable amount of money. We have been recommending a visit to Argentina and using the travel experts at Eureka Travel to our friends. I can\'t recommend them any higher!
